When Sandi was a young child, her constant companion was her
Collie, Sable.
This figurine was done for a gift for Sandi's  Mom and Dad, and depicts
an old photo showing her placed on Sable's back.  Looks like her love
of dogs started early!
This sculpture was commissioned by John Woods Jr. as a perpetual trophy for the Puget
Sound Saluki Club, and was named "The Sentinal of the Sound". The first casting from the
mold was done in Porcelain bisque, and was the only Porcelain piece ever done from that
mold.
In later years, this piece was destroyed in a house fire, but the edition is still open and
available in ceramics.  You can see a matte painted ceramic version by

This one of a kind Afghan Hound
sculpture was donated to the
Evergreen Afghan Hound Club Art
Auction.  The size was
approximately 8" high.
This is one of the very early pieces sculpted at Cathexis.  The artist's three Whippets inspired
the pose.  It is a one of a kind piece, and part of the collection owned by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Fischer.
